William Wexler was one of the noted ‘Desert Modernists’, designing modest homes as well as major commercial projects such as the Palm Springs Airport. Perhaps his most popular designs were a handful of small homes in the Racquet Club Estates at the north end of Palm Springs. These innovative structures were built of steel and expressed several different elevations.
